Welcome to the Pinta77 Productions forums! This entire forum is dedicated to bringing together amateur aspiring game developers along with gaming enthusiasts. This is a place to discuss ideas, express concerns, and potentially learn from each other and potentially collaborate. With mainstream consoles like Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One opening the doors to indie developers, now is the best time to dive into game development if this is truly your passion! Game development may seem daunting, and it is definitely complex, but if it is your dream, it is absolutely possible. Everyone needs to start somewhere, no matter how small the project or how inexperienced the developer. My name is Evan, I am a brand new amateur video game developer, and I am interested in talking with and growing with people in the same position as myself. If you are not an aspiring game developer, no need to worry! Anyone is welcome here. If you simply want to talk about games (whether it's mainstream games like Fortnite or games that I've made) you are welcome to join the forums and leave your opinions! Positive and/or negative feedback on games I've created is absolutely welcome and encouraged!
I hope you'll consider joining the forums, even if it's just to leave a bit of feedback. Regardless, thanks for making it this far!
The rest of this post will be some FAQs and some rules.
Q: What is this?
A: I am an amateur game developer and this forum is for learning how to become a developer at a basic level with others in the same position. The idea is to talk, support and learn from each other. This is also for discussing video games in general.
Q: Is this a paid course?
A: No. I am not an expert by any means. The purpose of this is to build a community that can grow together.
Q: Where can I play the games you made?
A: For each game that I have made public, there will be a section titled after the game name and a stickied post with any links.
Q: What if I don't like your games?
A: That's fine. Any feedback positive or negative can be posted in the appropriate section. Feedback for myself is a huge part of this forum.
Q: How do I use this forum?
A: Simply sign up for an account and you should be able to post. You will need a valid email. This is a requirement put in place by freeforums.net (the website hosting this forum) and not by myself. If you are having any trouble or have any concerns, you can email me at therealpinta77@gmail.com. I (and any staff of the site) will not share your email with anyone.
Q: How can I tell who is a moderator?
A: Forum Moderators' usernames will appear in blue text. Forum Administrators' usernames will appear in red text. These are the only 2 moderator types at this moment.
Q: Can I be a moderator on this forum?
A: If you are interested in becoming a moderator on this forum, email me at therealpinta77@gmail.com. Someone will likely be chosen to become a forum moderator if they are active and passionate in the community and are in good standing.
Rules
At this time, I see no need for incredibly strict rules. As time goes on, this may or may not change. Regardless, here are a few things I think are worth mentioning.
1.) Swearing is ok: I personally have no problem with swearing. Currently, swearing is allowed on the forums. This may very well change in the future. Please do not directly aim swearing at other users in an offensive way.
2.) No flaming: Do not attack other members. Constructive conversations are always welcome, but do not be rude and aggressive to other members on this forum including mods and staff.
3.) No Pornography: There is no place for pornographic images of any kind on this website. If that is what you're looking for, you are on the wrong website. Posting any pornographic images or links to porn will result in an immediate ban.
4.) No spam: Self explanatory. Spam will result in a warning. If it continues, you may be banned.
This is all I have for now as far as rules, but this may change depending on how many users are here in the future. With all that out of the way, welcome to the forums. I hope this turns out to be a great thing, and I hope you enjoy!
